AVOID! Sony is not good anymore

Author's Review

For one thing, the box clearly states it has no tuner. So I already knew what I was getting into. I was willing to live with that since I have a satellite receiver with a lot of output jacks. While connecting the cables I realized there is only 1 video input jack and its COMPOSITE! For a unit not to have a tuner you would think they would have a digital input or at least an S-Video jack. The only way to record anything is through 1 composite jack! Then while recording I found out it will not record any premium cable channels (HBO, Showtime, Starz,..)! So using this as a TIVO type device is out of the question. Hard to believe Sony would offer this to the public. I should have known something was funny when I saw a stack of returns at Best Buy.
