On going problems with 2 units.

I purchased 2 of these units and have had nothing but problems. They won't play recorded DVDs! I rented 23 with Jim Carey and the player refused to play it. I also borrowed the disc form a friend who had recently purchased it and it refused to play that disc as well. Sony support notified quality control of the problem in Japan and after a month called me up to say that for some reason, unknow to them, the disc will not play in the player. It plays fine in older Sony's DVD players but not in this machine.
I am now out of warranty & cannot return the machines so I am stuck with 2 machines that play some discs & not others.
I have been a loyal Sony customer for many years, but I would not recomend this product to anyone.
