Author's Review

Although VHS tapes are old technology, and cannot compare to the DVD format, there are times when its good to have a VCR. They are easy to use, and if you want something off the TV without the DVD quality/price, the VCR is the way to go. It is a very user friendly and practical type of media, and the Sony T-160 VHS tapes work extremely well.

The quality of recordings on the T-160 is excellent, and they are the best recording style tape to be found. The colors and visual quality seem to perfectly replicate what programs I tape off of the television.(I use a Sharp VCR) There is no blurring of lines or problems with resolution here, and the tapes last a long time. This is because they have a binder system, that works to protect your recorded programs/movies. This enables the tapes to last a lot longer than average, and many of my recordings are over five years. (They are still clear as day, and I've never one break, and the tape has never come flying out)

The tapes also adapt well to my VCR, and rewind/forward countless times without any problems. I've also recorded over and over again on the same tapes, without any loss of clarity. I have also dropped them from a distance of up to 5 feet, and have never broken one. I think these are worth buying, even if they are a bit more expensive than other brands.($2-$3 per tape) The tapes allow recording of up to 160 minutes on them, and I hope people will use these, because they work great! Playback is virtually guaranteed with these, and even my dusty ones work fine!
