DEEPLY MOVING CAPTIVATING PAGE TURNER WONDERFUL STORY OF SUCCESS

This memoir is deeply moving. It is the story of a Jeannette Walls, woman who overcame a life of poverty and lack of parental support to become a very successful adult.


About the Author:
She is now a reporter for MSNBC and looking at her you would never imagine what she went through as a child.
She grew up in a family that had little parental control or support financially. Her dad was an alcoholic who never held a job, thus the family could not afford the bare neccessities of life. It is amazing to me that she even survived some of the things she mentions in her memoir, The Glass Castle.

The book is about:
She talks about her poverty and hardship of living with parents that did not care if they were poor and explores the guilt she felt after she escaped that life. She wanted to help her parents after her success but they refused her help.


Featured:
This book was even featured on the Oprah show because it is so moving and stirs your emotions so much.

Its so good that....
I read it in two days because it was so good I could not put it down (I lost alot of sleep to read it!) It is an average size book but has so much emotion and heartbreak packed into it.
I was appalled that some in America choose to live like this even though there is so much assistance available.


Finally.....
I don't want to give away the whole story and let you read it for yourself, but if you are a fan of stories of the human condition or memoirs, or have empathy for the poor, this is a must read!
