You Choose!

The Iron Giant is probably one of the best non-Disney movies I've seen. Warner Brothers really hit a great one with this movie. The overall movie was great to an extent.

What I liked
I liked the fact that the boy, Hogarth, finds a large giant that fell from the sky. He then reasons not to tell anyone and tries to find places to hide him. All the while avoiding the government agent, Kent. He teaches the giant that he can choose what he wants to be. He doesn't have to be a gun. He can choose who he wants to be......... What does he choose, Superman. That was classic.

There are many funny parts to this movie and the animation is out of this world. I would rank it up there with Disney's. I will admit I cried at the end but you will have to see it for yourself to see what I mean.

What I didn't like

Personally, I don't understand why there had to be swearing in a children's movie. I feel that children are like sponges and absorb everything we feed them. If we include swearing in a movie then they are going to think it's ok. My two year old is getting to the age that he repeats everything. So we are really careful what he watches, this movie is one that he loves though. We will go with it until it causes a problem. We will then deal with it accordingly. I hate to even have to think of that option. With all the good things in this movie, I wonder why they had to throw in a few swears. But then I've been called overly picky when it comes to my son.
