I love my Disney films and The Little Mermaid was my other main favourite one of the classics from when I was younger. I think this is such a fun film and appeals to everyone. This is the 28th Disney animated film.
The story:
Ariel is a young, beautiful mermaid who wants to explore land and wishes she could have feet instead of fins. Much to the annoyance of her father King Triton, she is forever going off exploring with her friend Flounder to find human treasure and has a cave that she keeps it all hidden in. One day when a passing ship gets into trouble she rescues the handsome Prince Eric and takes him to the shore. Before he fully wakes she goes back into the ocean but he can remember hearing this voice singing to him.
Desperate to have legs she makes a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula who tells her she can have legs and become human for 3 days in exchange for her voice. If she can then make the Prince kiss her before the sun sets on her last day she will remain with legs and have her voice back - if not she will turn back into a mermaid and the evil witch will get to keep her!
We follow Ariel as she tries desperately to get the Prince to fall in love with her - will she be able to get him to fall in love with her with the help of Flounder and her other friend Sebastian?

Overall opinion:
This is such a fun Disney film with the amount of songs and animals involved in it. In particular the song 'Under the Sea' is so much fun for children (and adults!) and is guaranteed to get your feet tapping along! The characters are very likeable and overall are definitely a must for any child's film collection. I also love how they give certain characters an accent like Sebastian with his thick Jamaican accent. This is a great, fun, colourful, film that everyone can enjoy and I would highly recommend you get yourself a copy!
The film is rated a 'U' so is suitable for all ages. I received my copy as a present but you can pick up one from many shops or online stores for around the £12 mark.
