Graphics:
The graphics in this game are quiet impressive. The game uses what is called a dark engine because the game is based on stealth. What dark engine means is the game is essentially dark. The darker the area the harder you are to seen by the enemy, the same holds true for lighter areas. The lighter the area the easier it is for the enemy to see you.
This game uses the dark engine perfectly and it doesnt hinder the game at all like you may think. (Adjust the gamma in the video options to make things more bright if you find they are too dark) the people look very impressive as well as the nicely detailed scenery. I didnt notice any glitches in the graphics either or any hanging like I do in some other games. I am not an expert on graphics but Id call these ones near flawless. Ive never seen people that look this close to the real thing in a game.
Remember final fantasy 7 the characters didnt even have a mouth or a nose only eyes, what a joke lol. The graphics in this game are very high end you have to have at least a 16mb graphic acelerator to run this game and 64 Mb of ram, anything less and the game wont function. I tried to run it with a 4 MB video card (what was I thinking) and you couldnt see anything, it was all black with a few colored dots here and there.
Sound:
You can hear every single sound in this game. Theres one level where you could even hear the boat creaking, now thats attention to sound. The sounds are so realistic that you have to get up to a certain distance to hear them and it gets louder as you get closer and fainter as you get further away which I thought was very impressive. Once you get up close enough the sound starts and stays the same no matter if your close or far away and if you get further way it just cuts off.
All the people have a different sound for their voice, not like a typical game where they all sound the same Hey they must be clones arghhhhhhh!!!!! lol. If you spook an innocent peasant you can tell there spooked by the way the tone of their voice changes. I also found the weapons as well, sound like how the real weapons would really sound like.
Story Line:
The story line was very well thought out; it was very in depth and full of deceit and treachery. As you go through the game you learn more about the story and who's behind the various treacheries. Its not like this guy did it now go kill him, its much more than that you have to learn who did what and when you think you got it figured someone kills the guy who you think did it. In short, lots of twist and turns which not many games can do well. Most games get lost and loose their storyline when they try that.
Game Play
Game play is also very good. There is no jerky movement it this game. Maneuvering around is very simple. Your mouse acts like your neck, it lets you look around a full 360 degrees and also lets you look up and down. The directional arrows move you around to the left and the right arrow keys make you look left and right. The up and down arrow keys make you move forward and backwards in a direction depending on which way you are looking. I.e. which way you are pointing by moving your mouse, and number keys are your various weapons, which are used by the mouse button. They consist of a black jack (knocks people out), sword, bow with various arrows. You can pick up objects as well by using the mouse button two (also mouse button two to use the items). And if you have a wheelie mouse you can scroll through all your items that way (love them wheelie mice) that is all you need to know to move around in the game.
Over All
This game is very superbly done. It does not falter or stumble in any category
