Author's Review
I have always been a fan of less expensive watches. While many of my peers will buy a TAG, Rolex, or Cartier, I always preferred the simple Timex Ironman. With an Ironman I never have to take the watch off. I can shower, swim, watch TV, go to work, whatever in this watch. They're durable, yes they do get beat up, but they always look good and function well at the gym or in the office. My main beef with this watch, however, was in the straps. Mine busted off of the watch and they don't really fit back one once they bust off. My three year old lightly tugged on it and the rubbery plastic came right out of the watch itself, never to be repaired. I had to retire it to the dustbin but bought myself another wonderful Ironman. Rumour has it the President of the United States would rather wear a Timex than a fancy watch. In fact I believe he was made fun of for it in the European press!
In any matter, dollars for sense, you're getting your money's worth for this watch. If you head out to the gym at lunch you never have to take this baby off, and you can simply slip it under your sleeve. And hopefully you don't have to work somewhere where they actually judge you for wearing an athletic watch to work.
Long story short, this is a good watch. I've worn them for years, and never taken them off, gone swimming, ran, and cycled with them and they hold up. Usually I would hand mine off to a friend or a cousin and buy a new one. But they are reliable and strong!
