Love this radio despite replacement under warranty

Date of Review:  Jan 6, 2006
The Bottom Line: A simple product that oozes "quality". Easy to use, takes up very little space, very big sound. Buy it.
Review: I bought this radio because of problems with accurate tuning using a conventional GE Spacemaker under-cabinet kitchen radio when trying to access my local National Public Radio station in the Chicago area (WBEZ at 91.5 FM).

I am fully in...

Received Model One radio as a gift and could not be more pleased!

Date of Review:  Nov 16, 2004
Review: I received this radio as a gift for contributing to National Public Radio. I was not expecting such a nice product! It's very well built. The retro style and simple knobs are a plus- No preset stations buttons or equilizer knobs on this one! The...

Simple, Classic, Exceptional

Date of Review:  Dec 25, 2004
Review: I received the Tivoli Model One as a Christmas gift. I guess dog-earring the page in the catalog gave the wife a hint. As soon as I opened this beautifully simple radio, I had to take it to my home office and try it out. I had read the reviews and...

Retro feeling radio with modern sound

Date of Review:  Feb 14, 2007
The Bottom Line: This is a remarkably accurate tuner, solidly designed with surprisingly rich sound for its small size. A tad pricey for "just" a radio but you get what you pay for.
Review: I have owned my model one for 5 years and I am constantly moving it, using it as a resting place for various coffee cups and generally treat it roughly. Despite this it is still going strong 5 years later and I continue to love it as being practical...

Tivoli says 60 cycle hum is normal (it can be eliminated)

Date of Review:  Aug 10, 2005
Review: I bought one and partly use it with headphones at night. Did not like 60 cycle hum so I called Tivoli. They suggested I use a wall plug 12 volt supply. The radio has a 12 volt power input (female) jack. I measured the current it uses.

the Model One vs. the Grundig S350

Date of Review:  Aug 2, 2004
Review: What I wanted for my cubicle at work was an FM radio with high sensitivity and selectivity, so I could pull in the college and community radio stations to the left of the dial. We listen on earphones at work, so the speaker performance doesn't...

compact throwback, a mono dynamo

Date of Review:  Mar 21, 2006
Review: the tivoli one should win one of those 'pound for pound' awards. for its small size, it sounds tremendous. it lacks the depth of sound and bass you will find on larger high end table radios like the bose wave or cambridge soundworks 88. however, it...

It looks good but the sound is overrated

Date of Review:  Jan 10, 2006
The Bottom Line: Buy it only for it's great retro look and small size
Review: I've had a Henry Kloss Model 88 table radio in my home office for the past five years and loved it. I when it recently quit on me I ordered a Tivoli Model One based on all the hype I'd read about it and on my previous good experience with a Kloss...

A Whole Radio

Date of Review:  May 6, 2005
The Bottom Line: Even though the first Model One was defective, the styling appealed to me, so I stuck with it. And I'm glad I did.
Review: This review was originally titled "Half a Radio," and in addition to being about the Tivoli Audio Kloss Model One is also a story of customer service and the Terk Advantage AM antenna.

It was important that I get a radio with excellent AM...
