Author's Review
I now have owned this vehicle for six months and I have to tell you that the ride is smoother than any I have ever driven. The engine is quiet and the ride is super smooth. Everyone who has been in my van says the same thing. It ys so easy to dive taht you could drive it with one finger, not recommended though. The captain chair seats are so comfortable that you might get too relaxed. The safety features in this vehicle is top of the line. The fuel mileage is around 500 miles per tank on the road. It has a 20.9 fuel tank. The stereo system compares with anyone's with it's ten speaker system. I have never owned a vehicle that was a Toyota until now.I can tell you that this is a great vehicle and it is loaded. You can get a CE or SE model. Ihave the 2008 Toyota Sienna CE model and it is rated by Consumers Report as best in its class and I can see why. You can get most of the specs from Toyota. I am going to tell you some of the features that I think are good.First, the seat belts are comfortable and easy and convient to use and can be adjusted for comfort. It has side defroster outlets and side vents. The Cruise control is at your fingertips on the steering wheel. The instrument cluster is easy to read and as the name implies clustered together.
It has steel side beams in the doors, the windows are power windows and the side door windows on both sides actually raise up and down, I have never seen this in a van. You can get power or manual doors openers for side doors, this adds about $1000.00 to cost. You have mutile compartments for sunglasses, garage openers and severla other compartments and glove boxes.
The vehicle has power outlets in front and back for accessories. You have the ability to plug your own MP3 into radio and play songs from it.It has a neat table between front Captain seats that you can raise or lower with four glass or cup holders on it. There are ten cup holders in all in van. It has 10 airbags front and side and curtain. It has six speakers for stereo system. The Stereo heat, air controls are just in the center and easy to access. The gear shift is also just below the Heating and air controls and not on steering column or floor.
The vehicle comes with four Captain chairs and a rear seat that seats three. The rear seats can be hidden in stowaway compartment for extra luggage space. It has stabilizer for smooth turns and comes with Dunlap tires 16" wheels. I could bore you with all the specs but you can read them for yourself an website. This is one smooth ride. It gets from 17-24 miles to gallon and holds 20.9 gallons of fuel. I purchased mine in Georgia and found no high pressure tactics from my sales rep. They will guide you through every single feature and answer any questions with a friendly atmosphere. The vehicle is made in America. One last thing it has controls for each rear seat to adjust the airflow. I am a satisfied customer, driving the safest vehicle in its class, as I said accoring to Consumer Reports.
This vehicle continues to give great service and a great ride, in view of the price of gas these days and I am still surprised that for its weight and size I continue to get around 500 miles to the tank. I am actually getting 25 to 27 miles to the gallon and we are talking about a van.
I have now taken several trips in my Sienna and I can tell you that it is the smoothiest riding vehicle that I have ever driven.
