2006 Toyota Tacoma

I guess when the manufactures find there is still a compact truck market they will start making them again. With that said I love my Tacoma it is everything I need. Even though it has the 4 cylinder which I admit is weak but I didn't buy it to race to the next stop light. Actually less power equals less stress on the drive train. Don't get me wrong the 2.7 4 cylinder isn't underpowered for this truck, it has plenty torque and will go over 100 mph. Now I don't know what Toyota was thinking about putting street only tires on a 4X4 but that is what they chose as O.E. on mine and I had them replaced after only 6,000 miles. The seats are comfortable and the truck is easy and fun to drive. My manual transmission took a while to break in, it was not easy to downshift for the first 10,000 miles that has improve now. I haven't had any problems in 4X4 it transfers smooth. Nice to be able to shift into 4X4 while close to interstate speed. Also have to mention the 4 piston front brake caliper more than makes up for the rear drums.
