A must-read for teen girls!

Date of Review:  Dec 2, 2008
The Bottom Line: This book was a truly enjoyable read, and I recommend it mostly to teenage girls from the ages of 12 to 18.
Review: Browsing throught the fantasy section of the library one day, Twilight caught my eye. I brought it home and was immediately intriuged by the story of Bella Swan - a klutzy 17-year-old girl from Pheonix who moves to an obsure, rainy town in...

Should Your Preteen be Reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer?

Date of Review:  Jan 24, 2009
The Bottom Line:

While Twilight is rated for 9th grade and up, you might find your preteen wanting to read it. Check my review for recommendations!

Review: As a busy mom of two preteens (10 and 12), I entered the Twilight zone later than most. A young co-worker of mine suggested that my daughter might want to read the popular Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer when she reached middle school age...

Engaging Face Hugger

Date of Review:  Mar 19, 2009
The Bottom Line: Great book, but for teen, the parents should read it first and be ready to discuss.
Review: It's been years since I've found a real face hugger, but Stephenie Meyer's Twilight fits the description. I'd first became aware of Twilight when I saw the previews for the movie, and Amazon has put Twilight at the top of the best sellers on the...

A High School Girl and Her Crush on a Vampire

Date of Review:  Jul 1, 2008
The Bottom Line: If you like vampire stories and romance you ought to read Twilight. It's fun to read.
Review: I read Twilight because I had several friends who kept telling me that it was a really good story and I should read it. It was a good book. I don't know about "really" good, but it was good.

This book was a little on the sappy side for my...

Some books are meant to be movies

Date of Review:  Jun 6, 2007
Review: As a 25 year-old male, I am not the intended target of this book, but nevertheless I found myself reading it with my wife. I enjoyed the book overall, but found myself often drudging through the muck of senseless repetitions, weak plot lines,...

Not bad for a teen story

Date of Review:  Jul 6, 2008
Review: I read Twilight because a couple of my friends did and were hooked. Considering we're all in our late 20's and early 30's and we're completely enthralled with a book geared toward teens, I'd say it's pretty good. It is a love story and it is clean...

Why did I even buy this book?

Date of Review:  Jul 24, 2008
Review: Even though I'm in this book's target audience, I have no idea why had even a passing thought about buying it. I mean, it has glittery rich kid vampires and an impossibly annoying main character. The main character, Bella Swan, is basically a...

Breathtaking

No Ordinary Vampire Story

Date of Review:  Oct 1, 2007
The Bottom Line: I recommend anyone to read this book and they will be captivated in the first few pages.
Review: When I first heard about this book, i thought that it was a waste of time. Who would want to read a book about vampires? Then my little sister, who hates reading, started raving about it. If she likes a book, it must be worth a shot. So i started...

I'm Sorry, I Just Don't Like Twilight.

Date of Review:  Apr 1, 2009
The Bottom Line: I do not recommend this at all. It's unrealistic, and I can name about ten other vampire novels better than this.
Review: I read this book because my younger cousin recommended it to me. I figured "Okay, she and I have pretty much the same tastes in books, maybe it'll be good." Plus, I'm a sucker for vampires.

I was disappointed when I got to the end of...
