If You Like Celebrity Gossip You'll Worship US Weekly

When US Weekly first hit the stands I thought it was destined to be a watered down version of People Magazine. Boy was I wrong! From the first issue I purchased I've been hooked on this celebrity-driven magazine. What I most enjoy about this magazine is that it doesn't pretend to be anything it's not. It's marketed as a magazine dedicated to celebrity lifestyles and every page of this magazine adheres to that goal. This magazine has a particular emphasis on fashion that is truly unique. It has not escaped my notice that a lot of other magazines have fashioned themselves after US weekly. And why not? I ask. This magazine is hip, informative, fashion oriented and filled with fun, fresh stories about stars. As a magazine junkie I can honestly say that I think US has the best link to Hollywood gossip.
I remember when US Weekly ran the cover story on the down low relationship between Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck. This was truly a coup story since most of the world were still linking Ben with another Jennifer. My favorite part of the magazine is the Who Wore it Best? page. My 9 year old daughter and I like to play a game where we cover up the percentages and make our own wager as to who wore it best.
I love the Love Lives section which catches me up on the couplings and uncouplings in the celebrity world. The Celebrity Feuds section is a somewhat recent addition and is quite hilarious. Sadly, it points out that some of these people need to get a life and stop feuding over ridiculous things. Star style and Star beauty shows the reader the current trends and the way in which the average person can purchase these products. With regards to the price, I consider it quite reasonable since a year subscription costs me roughly $56, which is a huge savings off the cover price. I think this magazine is worth every penny.
