Pros: Fast scan, 6000 dynamically allocated memories, digital P25 decode, GPS capability, wide coverage, WX alert

Cons: Serial instead of USB programming, bottom speaker, could use better APCO decode, still some bugs

The Bottom Line: If you have no use for digital capabilities or 6000 channels, then buy the less expensive yet very similar BCT15. Otherwise, the BCD996T is the perfect wide coverage radio.
