expansion set is charger only - no phone line

with all brands - the expansion phone is only a charger and won't take an additional telco line. and then the rub, two people can't use the phone at once - one person has to 'transfer' to the other. transfering is a cross between the vulcan death grip and trying to divine instructions from the mfg that were not in the manual. CLICK - hang up.

so - expandable to 8 phones? great except that only one can be live at once, and that each base has a different code so you can't switch for charging purposes.

who the hell designs these things? i thought uniden was one of the best.
