Pros: The directional indicators make everything else inferior
Cons: None. This detector is flawless
The Bottom Line: For an extra $100 you can but the best Radar Detector that money can buy and be sure of where you are being tracked from
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I have read the negative comments here that accuse the
VALENTINE ONE of being a "dinosaur" or a unit that picks up signals from every garage or retail store door opener. I am here to set the record straight. I have... |

Pros: First Class Detection
Cons: Horrible Customer Service, Price(400 is just the start they will nickel and dime you forever)
The Bottom Line: If you are willing to bet that your unit will NEVER fail you might want to invest in this unit. The way this company conducts business is so backwards.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: The V1 without a doubt is the best in its class. The price is steep but it might be worth it to a few who have gotten a few too many tickets.
The reason why this product is not worth it is because the customer service ABSOLUTLY could not... |

Pros: Makes you aware of your surroundings!
Cons: Price, size.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I bought this in 2000, and it is still in my car. It works like a charm. It is bigger than other detectors, but for the features you get, I dont care.
This has saved my bacon more times than I care to think about. The indicator arrows are truly... |

Pros: Range! Sensitivity!
Cons: None!
The Bottom Line: I STRONGLY Recommend this product because of how well it performs. If you buy the V1, get the carrying case along with the unit.

Review:
I received a Valentine One (V1) this past Christmas, and I must say, it is the best present that I have received in years. I have owned "the best" (The Escort Passport 8500 X50, the Bel 995, three high-end Cobra models, two Whistlers, and... |

Pros: Decent sensitivity and range, but not best in class.
Cons: Bulky, false alarms, and lack of features.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: After using the V1 for a couple of years, I had finally had it upgraded. I've used this a number of times on the Palisades Pkwy heading out of NYC over the GW bridge. This stretch of road is cop heaven, and I thought I had the best detector, but...

Pros: Best Features, Easy to Use, Reliable, Upgrade/Trade-In program, Remote display option, top notch mounting bracket
Cons: Expensive and my Infiniti advanced cruise control w/ collision avoidance caused it false alarm continuously
The Bottom Line: Everyone I know that has a Valentine One loves it. It's the safe and durable choice.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: The Valentine One provides me with exactly how many sources of radar it's receiving (by number), type of radar (or laser) and from which direction it's coming from. This is not useless information as most users of the product get to know their...

Pros: The Valentine One is totally amazing! And fun!
Cons: Expensive but well worth it.
The Bottom Line: The Bottom Line is don't waste your money buying anything but a Valentine One. It is a giant load of cash for a Radar Detector but why worry?
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: My wife and I went on a 2 week trip driving approx 6000 miles in our new minivan. We brought along two friends. I bought the Valentine One and hung it on the windshield. I told my wife that sure, $400 was a lot but we can always return it when the...

Pros: Detection Capability, functionality
Cons: User interface, X band false positives, price
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This unit is not the prettiest, cheapest or most user friendly product on the market. It can get annoying in an urban environment (Los Angeles), with many false postives (exclusively on X band). But it is simply the most powerful (range) and...

Pros: Extraordinary sensitivity and warning distance/time; ergonomic simplicity; ruggedness and inbuilt quality; POP and Ku.
Cons: Cost; customer service.
The Bottom Line: This is a benchmark premium radar detector in which all the quality is built in. What you see is actually less than what you get. Outstanding product.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I've owned a series of radar detectors going back to the Autotronics Snooper passive X-band detector in 1979. I've lost three to crack junkies and still have all the rest. I collect them and have prowled pawn shops and electronics stores to acquire...
