What a ride!

This book was amazing. I was looking for a lazy read that I could bury myself in between tasks, which I did not get. I wasn't disappointed, however. The first time I read it, I could not put it down. My heart was pounding during the more intense portions, and I really got into the story line. I did figure out who I've read it four times, and every time I found myself locating more details. It's not as shocking as it was the first time I read it, but it's still riveting.
The storyline was fantastic in that it was like a fantasy. The main character was a really normal, believable character. His friends and acquaintances, however, were less than believable. I find it hard to believe that a person will have one friend who divines the future from animal's innards and also one who has a fetish about sexually abusing women and has freakish mannequins strewn all over his house. It seemed a little too far-fetched, as did some of the happenings. Admittedly, they creeped me out, which I guess was their purpose.
I thought the moral choices that the main character had to make really helped draw the reader into the book, too, even though they were severely twisted.
