A few years back, I mistakenly ordered a subscription to Vogue magazine. WHAT A MISTAKE!!!
First of all, there was nothing in this magazine that I could afford to buy. All of the fashions were haute couture, etc. and hundreds of dollars for the most simple, flimsy, and tacky of outfits.
Second, this magazine never made me feel proud to be a woman. I suppose that if I were a tree branch it would make me proud to be a stick, and I would hope that I looked as good in the super expensive clothes as the carpenter's dreams pictured on each page. In other words, this magazine made me feel FAT!!! This was not recently, since I've had a baby, but pre-wedding when I looked GREAT at a fit 130 lbs!!! The women in here are as big around as my LEG!
Finally, this magazine tended to be completely unrealistic when it came to real women and their real lives. I read an article about fun places to go this summer, and EVERYTHING cost thousands of dollars!!!
In my opinion, this magazine is meant for models...they can pose in the pictures and read it too. If you're a real woman, don't waste your hard earned money!
