Reliable and Fuel Efficient - at 144k kilometres, and no repairs required

Review: Bought this car used - body was a little scratched, but interior clean. It's been a great car for commuting, we only have short kids for the back seat, so that doesn't matter to us. As per usual for Volkswagen, it has a huge trunk.

Good Grief, WHAT a great car!

The Bottom Line: Autobahn cruiser for four AND 50 Mile per gallon! HELLOOOOO? Is there even a question here?
Review: Well, this is my fifth VW, and this time I opted for the TDI diesel engine. Our "other" car is a 2000 Beetle 1.8T, and I was worried that the diesel wouldn't have the performance I've come to really enjoy. Nothing could be further from the truth...

Love this car with the 5-speed

The Bottom Line: Recommended, oozes quality for this class of car, Wash., D.C. to Denver with one fuel stop...wow!, avoid Monsoon sound system, 5-spd better than the auto tranny. Tops in safety.
Review: Through the first 3000 miles we have averaged 46 mpg, with a high of 51 mpg. Do not be scared away by the engines 90 hp rating, it has gobs of torque. Torque is what gets you moving, up hills, etc., think of torque as pulling power. Engine is quiet...
