Review: I loved my 1.8 Turbo Passat. It was fun to drive, rode like a much heavier car than it actually was, and just felt well-built overall.

Nice Ride

Review: A nice car for the price. This is my second VW had to trade in 2002 Jetta GLS, too many problems, but I loved the car. The Passat has been solid, great gas mileage 22/28. Has a lots of nice features for the price. I hope to keep this for a while...

Good car so far..with a few woes

Volkswagen 1.8t Station wagon, five speed (UPDATED)

Solid European vehicle

The Bottom Line: Except for tire issues the car has been perfect. It's good looking, has a nice ride, and fuel economy is good (I'm averaging 26). It's a buy.
Review: I've been driving my 2003 Passat for three months now. It's a Colorado Red GLS model with the tiptronic transmission, 4-cylinder engine, Monsoon stereo and winter package. After 4,000 miles here's my two cents on the car:

Last VW for me

The Bottom Line: I owned a Jetta and a Fox now I'd say avoid VW, 2003 Passet towed to dealer 3 times, two fuel pumps then the ignition switch. Expensive maintenance.
