This expansion handset is as good as it claims to be. We purchased our six months ago along with the i5866 base phone. We have 802.11g in our small house and have never had any interference problems at all. Everything about this phone is 5.8 GHz, so it really is not possible for it to interfere with 802.11g networks. Remember, there are several things in your house that run in the 2.4 GHz frequency range, and neighbors can also have 2.4 GHz phones that can interfere.
Anyway, the handset itself is excellent. Nice, color screen, as good quality as the base handset, easy setup. Transferring images of your choice to the handset is as easy as the software says. You can't share phone book databases between the handsets, but I have found my wife and I don't use the phone book much, anyway. I figured we would save many numbers in the handset, and, after six months, I believe we have three numbers in there. Go figure.
The i5807 handset can be found for very little money on the web, now, probably because it is nearing end of life. Don't miss out! It is an excellent handset, functions great, and, my personal favorite, uses AA NiMH batteries - easy to find, cheap to replace, and growing higher and higher in the mAH capacity numbers as the years go by.
