Even Cooking with a good view

After setting up our first home with my new husband, I had to learn how to cook on a gas range for the first time. At first I thought my issues were "operator error" but as time went by and more used my range I found out that it cooked unevenly at best and was erratic with temperature control.

This Whirlpool 4-burner range was the answer to my prayers, making cooking a delight! The burners have impeccable control, with the low setting stying on even at just a slight burn. And the power burner is perfect for boiling big pots of water for pasta or soup. Another feature I love is how closed the metal is around the burner apparatus. On my old range, the hole was so large food would constantly roll down into it and be lost to decay forever. Yet with this range the metal is closely hugging the burner, nothing falls down there! I also like the enamel racks, they make cleanup a breeze, with no rusting. The burner caps also pop off for easy cleaning. And the stainless is pretty breezy too, a dry rag in the middle of the week and the occasional clean with stainless steel cleaner.

The menu button options are also a really nice feature. If I want to go out for a quick jog, but don't want my oven on while I'm gone, I can set the oven to start cooking only at a specific time, say, 5 minutes before I return. Temperature and time settings are also quite easy to set. The only minor complaint I would have are that the "set time" and "cooking time" are right next to each other, so sometimes when I'm in a hurry instead of telling the oven to bake for 30 minutes I accidentally set it to start cooking in 30 minutes, which forces me to cancel and restart. But really it's because this thing is just so darn easy and simple to operate that I stop paying attention.
