I got this washer for my birthday in February expecting great things, as I grew up with a Whirlpool. I was dissapointed! It does not do a good job at all. My glasses had a disgusting film on them, my dishes were spotty and everything had food on them. The silverware was horrible. I tried washing everything with water by hand (if I am going to have a $600 dishwasher, I had better be able to dump a bowl of spaghetti in there and the dishes come out sparkly!!) I left sauces on them, I did vinegar rinses, kept the dishes wet until the washer was full to run, 4 different detergents, running the water hot before I started a cycle, more soap less soap, rinse aid, soap and lemshine, just lemshine, everything. I did buy some Lemshine from my dealer that helped the glasses, but the ones my husband made Alkaseltzer in, still had a ring in the bottom, and my daughters sippy cups still have chocolate milk in them! Everything that is left behind can be wiped of with my dry finger except My silverware has to be hand washed after it comes out, I have tried everything. I have had repair men out 4 times. They put a new motor in it and no improvement. I am sorely dissapointed in my machine. The push buttons on the front are nice and it is a classy looking machine, and I love the tall tub, the lid holders on the top shelf, the adjustable rack, and the fold down tines, and no tower in the middle of the bottom rack, but all that doesn't make up for a poor wash job. I had a cycle last almost 3 hours last night!!! How is that energy effecient????!! And that was with AIR DRY!! I would not buy another Whirlpool, or any brand associated with them. I give it a poor durability rating, because with the job it's doing, it won't last long in my house!
