Good while it lasted...

Worked very well… while it was still operational.  I really enjoyed this microwave for the almost 3 years that it worked.  I never used the metal rack for two level cooking though.  I’m very disappointed that at 1.5 years old the exhaust cover fell off (at random, some broken clip) and a week ago it died.  Oddly, I did find myself changing the stove top light bulbs more often than I thought I would.  Every 6 months or so I’d switch out the 25watt bulbs for a new set.  One would die and the other shortly after.  I didn’t use the microwave on a daily basis, I’m mostly a stove top/oven style person.  I wonder if I had been a heavier user, would it have died after only one and a half years?

I bought for the quality associated with the name when I bought the collection for my new build… I feel as if I were let down. Haven’t heard back from Whirlpool yet on possible service options.  I’m afraid it might be cheaper to go buy a new microwave.
