My weekly fix

I have to admit that I am addicted to this weekly magazine. I have been a faithful reader for almost 3 years. I have tons of back issues that I have kept in case I might need some helpful household ideas that are given.

On the front cover of almost every issue you will find a woman that has lost "a ton of weight" and even some celebrity weight loss stories. This is the eye catcher for those of you that are scanning the magazines while the cashier and the woman in front of you are gossiping about their kids at the local Wal-Mart or grocery store. That is one of my biggest pet peeves when this gossip is taking place when people behind them are waiting to checkout and get out of there...but anyway. I do think that some of the weight loss storied can be inspiring and give good tips and recipes. Speaking of recipes, I clip the recipes out that I deem worth while and add them to my recipe collection(over 2,500 recipes that I have). You never know when you might experiment a little and make a new dish. I also like the GOOD HEALTH section that is featured each week. Richard Simmons even has his own little weight loss spot in this magazine each week. I also love the tips they give on how to make your life simpler with little hints and tricks to save time and money. I find this extremely useful to myself since I am just a young woman and have not yet acquired the expertise of my mother or Granny yet!

I will eventually subscribe to this "woman's weekly", but I have yet to take the time. Until recently they didn't offer mail subscription for reasons they reported as high cost of mailing the magazines. Luckily they have a great subscription plan: 52 issues is only $49.95. Not a bad bargain since it retails in the supermarkets for $1.25.

If by some chance you haven't seen this magazine before, then check the checkout stands the next time you go shopping and see what the magazine has to offer you. To me is represents a busy woman's lifestyle and how to help us.
