Author's Review

This game was just sniffing for sucess. Multiple Sports games to play and adventure mode similar to pokemon, this game surly kicks a.... butt.[hey this IS epinion.com i cant curse].

Gameplay 4 out of 5, Great fun, yet some of the games are off.
In Genral [the adventure mode itself and so on] Again as I said before this game is similar to the lies of pokemojn when it comes to vs oher people. You dont buy items or anything like that, this isnt a rpg. But when you battle a person you have to beat them by there profile which includes Time [to help with time in each of the 5 games there is a special power-up called Twiitch shakes, which improves on your speed for a limit a time or has some other effects as well.] Combo [more detail in Sky boarding section] Flags[ there are 6 flags in each of the events] and of course score. These are put in profile like look so you can studie your oppents score. Be reminded that you dont take on your oppents 1 on 1 on the same screen you just have to beat there profile and you win a medel or 2 or sometimes 3. As you earn more medels you gain acess to more places on the island your on. You can also practice any stage on any event in Practice mode. But Wait! Wheres two-player you ask? There is none, but there is a back-up battery to save all of this stuff.

Surfing- You cant really cant make a surfing game seem real and this shows no difference, it is the easiest out of the 5 games and it is preety fun. You can do stunts off the waves and collect stars for points. You also get flags as well, look out for hazards!

Skateboarding, For this to be on a gameboy, it is great! You sre in 2d and most make grinds and do kick-flips, hand pipes, and flips to get you score onj the top/ But you must look out for hazards as well as well-placed flags. This not easy, but not to hard either.

In-line skating- This is the harderst event for me anyways. Very Similar to skate boarding but no half-pipes and a slightly different control sheme. Flags are also an other problem, they are hard to find!!!! [to get certain flags you have to use a "shake" after spinning in the air to do a double-jump which get you in areas you usuaaly cant get too]. When you see a hazard you can spin and crush the hazard, but this is easier when you use a "shake".

Street-Luge- Not to hard, but more on the easier side if you ask me. It has a overhead view and you must get out of the way od hazards and the falgs are slightly easier to get in this mode. But one simply mistake and you might miss the flag though, a warning that all. The control is obivous hold b to go, left and right to go left and right. This mode is not unique but is fun!

Skyboarding- Easy to some, Hard to others, You jump out of a plane and you collect flags, as well as arrows when you want to do a combo, which you probably have to do in this mode because oppents make 10 combos, meanwhole you can only hold 9 arrows. When you collect enough arrows hold b to hit in the right arrows to do the combo, waring you cant move during this sometimes long process andif you mess up or you run into a hazard you lose all of your arrows. So look out because even when you enter all of your arrows you can still collect more arrows while you are still and create gaint 15 combos which you are eventually forced to do one time or an other.

Graphics- Super. while you are walking or competing against your oppents's score the graphics are ver nice and sleek with no slow-down or any of that stuff.

Sound-It does with the game well, but it is 8-bit remember.
Story- Dont worry you dont need to know now it is dumb and you can ait until you buy or rent the game.
Overall- This game reminds me of the nes claasic, 720 [it came out for gbc by the way] and XS is a very well made game and you should get this game today!!!
