Pros: Excellent picture quality, great price, lots of features, large screen, ultra compact, great battery life
Cons: Little bit of lag with flash, could use image stabilization for low-light zoomed pictures
The Bottom Line: This is a little powerhouse of a camera at an excellent price. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for great pictures from a pocket-sized camera.

Pros: Ultra-compact, takes decent shots under most circumstances, easy to use, flexible
Cons: Shutter lag in flash mode, sensor has limited dynamic range, fixed aperture lens
The Bottom Line: A good inexpensive choice for a pocket camera, but be aware that some corners have been cut.

Pros: Small, fast, cute as a bug's ear. Good lcd.
Cons: Flawed circuitry or lens gears render camera useless. Canon does not honor in warranty.
The Bottom Line: This is not a robust camera. Consider another brand.

Review: The SD 1000 is a sweet little camera with a less than intuitive interface and fatal flaws in lens synchronization, which Canon refuses to honor in warranty. Don't buy it.

Pros: Fits in shirt pocket. Good battery life.
Cons: Prone to lens damage. Not a very durable lens mechanism.
