iMac G5 perfect for over a year!
Pros:
Reliable, fast, excellent screen and no virus problems!
Cons:
None for what I purchased the machine for.
The Bottom Line:
For a great machine that can handle DV video editing or even light uncompressed editing, not to mention any standard office application, the iMac G5 is a great choice.

I've had my iMac G5 20" computer for well over a year now and have experienced zero downtime with the machine. In addition I've experienced only a single crash, due to an errant program, and no viruses or other problems.
Granted, this is not my first Mac but it has been one of the happiest experiences to date. The large, bright LCD is one of the best displays I have ever worked with. I have 3 other 20 inch LCDs in the office but none of them hold a candle to the iMac.
The speed has exceeded my expectations. It is actually faster than my G5 1.8Ghz power mac. Yes, this is a 2Ghz iMac but the system bottlenecks I expected have not materialized. This machine performs well. it is used for the following tasks:
Video Editing (back-up system)
DVD Authoring - Primary
Mpeg 2 encoding (back-up or node)
Photoshop - primary (note - these are mostly screen resolution graphics for DVD authoring use)
Motion Graphics with Apple motion - not recommended. Works but bogs down quickly.
Video conferencing and every other application you can throw at it.
All in all a fantastic machine.
BTW in general, I have had sterling service from Apple over the years. They generally ship the same day on replacement parts and products and provide paid returning shipping on warranty covered issues. Most of my replacement parts have arrived the next day after my initial call to Apple. That doesn't mean you can't have a bad experience, and I have, but I own quite a few machines, including Linux and PCs, and the Apple service has been superior to anything else I've experienced.
