Sandisk Sansa e280: A Terrific Flash-Based MP3 Player

Date of Review:  Jan 16, 2007
The Bottom Line: This is one of the best if not THE BEST flash-based MP3 players on the market, especially for the money.
Review: Summary

I was looking for a flash-based alternative to my Creative Zen Micro yet with more memory. I found the Sandisk Sansa e280 8 GB flash memory player which met and in fact exceeded my needs and expectations.

Is the Sansa E280 Versatile Enough?

Date of Review:  Jul 14, 2007
The Bottom Line: Get this unit. Great sound, small, durable. It has a good price. Tons of features and versatility. Really crisp screen, and it plays movies too!
Review: Recently my RCA model RD1028A MP3 player died. I wanted something else. Something new. Something that looked good!

iPod Alternative?

Date of Review:  Mar 24, 2007
The Bottom Line: This is a great option to the over-priced iPods.
Review: I'm a music junkie. I have an MP3 player and a cell phone that can play MP3s, yet I wanted a tiny MP3 player that I could use while working, hiking or walking.

When my wife and I walk around around neighborhood, we use these very small and...

Sandisk Sansa E280 - iPod Challenger Steps Up

Date of Review:  Jan 1, 2007
The Bottom Line: Less expensive, yet feature rich, compared to the iPod. Great sound, solid performance - it's a solid "buy" recommendation from me.
Review: E200 Series Overview
The Sandisk Sansa e200 series includes the E250, E260, E270 and E280. The 2GB, 4GB, 6GB and 8GB respectively are high capacity flash based MP3 players that compete in features, as well as price, with the iPod Nano. All four...

And Goldilocks said: "Just Right!"

Date of Review:  Jan 29, 2007
The Bottom Line: Look for them on sale. It's a good mp3 player but not an iPod, so SanDisk will have to compete.
Review: I THOUGHT I was going to buy an iPod Nano - I have an Intel iMac and I love it. I went to Best Buy because I wanted to look at an 8 gig Nano. I had made up my mind that 8 gb was the minimum capacity I could live with. Well, they hadn't heard of 8 gb...

Sansa e280 (UK) - great player

Date of Review:  Jan 3, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you want your entire album collection with you, and you store (and have been adding) songs from CD with Windows Media Player - dont think twice. Buy this product.
Review: My Daughter had a Nano as a Birthday present, and I like the idea of sync'ing my CD collection to one device, which I can connect to an FM Transmitter (legal since Dec 06)and carry it around in the car with me.

Although the Nano is...

Interesting little machine

Date of Review:  Oct 24, 2007
The Bottom Line: More storage and features than a Nano. Easy to use. Good overall quality.
Review: Right off the bat I have to say that this is my first mp3 player and that I am not the most familiar with all the "techno babble" that goes with it. This being said, I think my opinion can still be pretty relevant since not all electronics consumers...

Best flash player I've ever owned.

Date of Review:  Feb 13, 2007
The Bottom Line: I've looked at every flash player available and this one is simply the best. Highly recommended.
Review: In the last 6 months I've purchased and used three portable music players
1. iriver Clix.
2. iPod Nano 2nd Gen.
3. SanDisk Sansa e280.
The Sansa is the best of the bunch.

There are two things that I believe every player...

Full featured flash MP3 player--works with Linux

Date of Review:  Jan 5, 2007
The Bottom Line: This is arguably the best 8GB MP3 player at any price. I recommend it for users seeking fairly high capacity in a compact, portable player.
Review: After using my father-in-law's Sansa e280, I bought this MP3 player for myself for $180 from Amazon.com and have used it for a few days since it arrived.

I have seen that this player works well with Windows Media Player 10. My experience...

Great music player... no more, no less.

Date of Review:  Apr 29, 2008
The Bottom Line: Overall, this is an excellent music player. If that's what you're after, you won't be disappointed.
Review: The SanDisk Sansa e280 8GB MP3 player has a color screen and a full set of features: it plays audio and video (MP3, WMA, and QuickTime video), displays photos, and has a built-in FM tuner and voice recorder. Although the e280 does a great job of...
