Incredible Space!!!

I have been looking for a french door model for a while now. One of the must have features of a refrigerator is having the ice and water dispenser in the door. Based on reading reviews of the LG and of the Maytag, it appeared that the LG would be the winner. The old fridge, a Whirlpool Gold side by side was exiled to the garage and was fitted with a water line. Best idea that I ever had as you can never have enough ice for parties! The old fridge also became the beverage center too.

Pros:
I was able to put a full cookie sheet into the main compartment for a dessert to chill and set up. I had a huge party a few weeks ago and was amazed at how much space I had to store everything! The compressor runs so quietly that I wasn't sure if it was running when it was first installed. Water filter is located in the main compartment - no more getting on your hands and knees to change the filter. Super ease to change the height of the shelves which also pull out for ease of accessing those items in the back of the fridge. I also like the pull out bottom freezer drawer. I do not have as much space in the freezer as I do in the fridge - but that is okay with me. It is also an esthetically beautiful appliance. Everyone has commented on what a beauty it is.

Cons:
What were they thinking when they developed the ice and water dispenser? You cannot put a tall glass to get water and ice. The water is cold - but not super cold like I think it should be when it comes out. The ice bucket is small too. There is a button that you can hit to make more ice - but its still kind of slow. I changed the setting from small ice cubes to large ice cubes and that setting seemed to make more ice faster. I also wish I would have known about the Titanium finish as its suppose to be more fingerprint and smudge resistant. I am constantly polishing the stainless steel finish.

Bottom line:
I would buy another one in a heart beat.
