Pros: very sturdy platform for cameras up to 15lbs, durable and well built

Cons: weighs 7 pounds, requires optional column for low level work.

Slick, as in Slik Tripods

Pros: Solid, reversible head, smooth operation

Cons: large and relatively heavy

The Bottom Line: A model like this one, made by Slik, would be an excellent choice for any advanced amateur using an SLR or medium sized video camera
