Buy the older model

Pros: It works. Will cool down midsized room.
Cons: Not as good as Sunpentowns older models.
The Bottom Line: Buy the older Sunpentown models. They're much better.

Review: I bought this one used on craigslist, after I had bought the older model the 1210E and was extremely happy with it.
I can't have window AC's because I have bars, and a portable seemed like a good solution.

A cool winner!

Pros: Easy set up and kept my room cool
Cons: Little loud when set on High fan
