Significant engine improvements include moving from 8-Bit to 10-Bit Color Depth with a new 5x, 7-Segmant Color Wheel that includes a neutral density filter in the green section for smoother, more natural images. The chip itself has also been improved by filling in the small indentations, or "Via's", in the mirrors for further increased contrast. by jsbach , Apr 27, 2007
Pros: Ridiculously bright, clear crisp image, great response time, good DLP colors, great contrast.
Cons: Fixed angle of projection, very very ugly keystoning correction artifacts. Light leaks.
The Bottom Line: Great projector, fantastic contrast/intensity. LCDs better for color. Table or ceiling height only, no direct projection angle. Ugly Keystoning correction.
